But in the end, we gained an ally, and avoided a confrontation that may have seen another of us on a pyre. One never knows how the tides of battle will fall. Though I still need to explain this to Alma, but that's for the morning.
But we also gained valuable information. A Genie has taken over as the chieftain of the local tribe of Gnolls that control the ruined city. A Genie. That could be much worse than the demon. And we lost Valeros to that fell creature.
I wonder if we can find more allies. We only number four, and there are, i'm afraid, plenty of Gnolls to act as a buffer for the genie. This will most likely be our most extreme challenge yet. We are all of us improving in our respective areas of expertise, but still...
Well, we can only press forward, cautiously, and do the best that we can. I say say do, not try, as try denotes a chance of failure, and I am confident that in the end, we will persevere.
In the meantime, I have a young woman who is waiting for me to finish an interrupted bit of Love making, and that is something that is entirely to important to delay any longer. I may not have the light magic active any longer on the gem, but I have a lantern and plenty of oil for it. Now where is she?
Ah, I see her. Such a lovely sight she is, she has moved my sleeping mat next hers, making one larger mat for us both. She is just coming to her feet, and her lovely backside is in perfect profile.
Walking up behind her, I wrap my arms around her, and kiss her on the neck. "Oh kitten, we have a date to continue, come my mela (love). I already have the blankets and lantern ready. Gi melin! (I love you)"
